Friends of WLRN

Friends of WLRN is a nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1974, whose purpose is to support WLRN Public Radio and Television, and generally to contribute to nurturing the quality and vitality of public media in South Florida. Friends raises more than $6 million annually through individual giving by listeners and viewers, institutional on-air underwriting, and other grants and sponsorships

from private individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Friends is governed by a 26-member board representing a cross-section of community leaders, with a professional staff of 15.
